Long before I studied naturopathy, I found myself drawn to the same question in very different contexts.

What happens when someone no longer feels like themselves?

At the time, I was working as a brand strategist, partnering with women as they built businesses and navigated the often-invisible weight of ambition, motherhood, and expectation. On the surface, we were talking about brands. In reality, we were often talking about identity, and what it felt like to slowly lose touch with yourself beneath the demands of everyday life.

What stayed with me was never the strategy itself. It was what happened when someone felt genuinely seen.

Years later, that same question became deeply personal.

While trying to conceive my second child, I experienced recurrent miscarriages. Investigation after investigation suggested everything looked "normal", yet my experience told a different story. I was doing everything I believed I should, but my body wasn't responding the way I expected.

That experience profoundly changed the way I think about health.

It taught me that there is often a gap between what pathology can measure and what a person is living through. A gap where symptoms are minimised, uncertainty becomes exhausting, and people begin questioning their own instincts.

It is a gap I now see every day in clinical practice.

Today, my work focuses on reproductive and sexual health because these conversations are about far more than hormones alone. They touch fertility, relationships, identity, pain, pleasure and the way a woman experiences herself throughout different stages of life.

My role isn't simply to interpret pathology or prescribe a protocol. It's to recognise patterns, ask better questions and help women understand what their bodies have been trying to communicate all along.
